Terms of Service

Note: AreliScore is a credit-building service. These Terms govern your use of a product that submits your payment information to consumer reporting agencies. Please read them carefully.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using AreliScore ("we," "us," "the Service," available at areliscore.com), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and a resident of the United States to use AreliScore. You may create an account, view the free educational guides, connect your bank, see your detected payments and purchase the Certificate (with an active membership) without having an SSN or ITIN. To have your payments reported to the credit bureaus, a valid Social Security Number (SSN) or Individual Taxpayer Identification Number (ITIN) is required. By using the Service, you represent that you meet these requirements and that all information you provide is accurate.

3. Description of Service

AreliScore helps consumers build a record of their payment history for rent, electricity, water, or phone. To verify eligible payments, AreliScore uses Plaid to securely connect to your bank account and read transaction data; AreliScore does not access or store your online banking username or password. AreliScore is working to report eligible payment history to one or more nationwide consumer reporting agencies (Equifax, Experian, and/or TransUnion) through a third-party reporting partner; this reporting is not yet active for all users, and AreliScore will notify users when it is. AreliScore offers:

A monthly membership for ongoing payment detection and monitoring, and for eventual reporting once a reporting partner is active.
The AreliScore Certificate: a one-time, per-service document (rent, electricity, water, or phone) combining your bank-verified identity and your verified on-time payment history for that service, valid for 30 days, which you may download or share directly (for example, with a landlord).
One-time retroactive reporting of up to 12 or 24 months of past payment history for a single selected service, currently offered for the user's own record-keeping purposes and not yet furnished to the credit bureaus.

4. No Guarantee of Results

AreliScore does not guarantee any specific credit score increase, approval for credit, or any other outcome. Credit scores are calculated by third parties (the credit bureaus and scoring models such as FICO or VantageScore) using factors outside our control. Results vary by individual and are not guaranteed.

5. Payments and Billing

Membership fees are billed monthly in advance and will renew automatically until canceled. The AreliScore Certificate and retroactive reporting fees are one-time, per-service charges. Purchasing the Certificate requires an active membership. All payments are processed securely through Stripe. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law.

6. Your Information and Consent to Furnish Data

By using the Service, you authorize AreliScore and its reporting partner to submit the payment and account information you provide, including payment activity verified through your connected bank account, to the applicable consumer reporting agencies once reporting is active. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you submit. Submitting false or misleading information may result in account termination.

7. Disputes and Corrections

If you believe information reported through AreliScore is inaccurate, contact us at support@areliscore.com. You also retain your rights under the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) to dispute information directly with the consumer reporting agencies.

8. Account Termination

You may cancel your membership at any time from your dashboard or by contacting support. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, provide fraudulent information, or misuse the Service.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, AreliScore is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including denial of credit, changes in credit score, or actions taken by third-party bureaus or lenders.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
